Thrangu Monastery Canada is pleased to host the 6th Annual North American Kagyu Monlam. The 2nd Annual North American Kagyu Monlam was held at the Monastery in 2011. All of the images on this website were taken during the 2011 Kagyu Monlam.
The monastery is the first traditional Tibetan Buddhist monastery built in the Pacific Northwest. It is part of a global network of monasteries and centres under the Very Venerable Thrangu Rinpoche’s guidance. Located in Richmond, BC on a city road nicknamed “the Highway to Heaven”, it stands as a testament to the power of spiritual practice and peace with one’s neighbours.
We welcome all participants to this year’s Kagyu Monlam.
